Coupeville was founded in 1852 by Cpt Thomas Coupe and is the second oldest town in the State of Washington. Coupeville has made an effort to preserve pioneer homes with a variety of historic architectures including pioneer Block Houses, Saltbox, and Victorian Queen Anne style. Captain Coupe’s original home was built in 1853 and still stands today. It is one of the State’s oldest standing pioneer homes.
